23cm Projects - Amplifiers

60 W Power Amplifier Kit for 23 cm by DB6NT
The described power amplifier is exclusively dedicated to amateur radio use. For construction, alignment and operation fundamental knowledge of RF technique is necessarily required.

This project began when I was lucky enough to locate some surplus XRF-286 LDMOS transistors; I thought it might be nice to have a solid-state replacement for my GS-15B amplifier, which had been in service here for 5 years.

A 90W Transistor PA for l.3GHz by DC6GC
A linear power amplifier w11h the ERICSSON PTB-20174 Push-Pull transistor delivers about 90W output with 13W drive power and about 57% dficiency on I .3GHz.

Two coupled PAs with each 2 times 2C39 deliver around 400W RF.

The BFG591 has an Ft of 7 GHz and at 23cm I should easily be able to get 500 mW RF from it.
